A soft little friend for your workday.

Mochi is a squishy 3D jelly pet that lives in your browser. It sits with you while you work, nudges you to drink water and stretch, breathes with you when things get loud, and is always there to poke when you need a smile.

What it is

A desk pet that cares about your day

Screens are good at grabbing attention and bad at giving it back. Mochi is the opposite. It is calm, quiet most of the time, and built around four small habits that make long screen days feel better.

Focus

Work alongside someone

Start focus time and Mochi sits at a desk with headphones and a laptop, working with you. Body-doubling, without the video call.

Hydrate

Remember to drink

Mochi sips from a bowl through a straw on your schedule and waits 10 to 20 seconds so you can sip too.

Move

Stretch on time

Guided stretch breaks where Mochi demos each move in the centre of the screen. Skip or go next at your pace.

Unwind

Calm down fast

A 4-7-8 breathing guide with meditative music, and a jelly you can squish, toss and gently bonk when you need to let off steam.

Mochi’s biological clock

It keeps your hours

Mochi follows the clock in your own time zone. It gets hungry at meal times, drowsy after lunch, cozy in the evening, and it will tell you to sleep if you are still up past midnight.

  • 12–5 amLate night
A worried face and a gentle “please get some sleep”, only if you have been up for a while.
  • 6:30–7:30 amWake up
Sleepy eyes and a big stretch. “Good morning, sunshine!”
  • 7:30–9:30 amBreakfast
Hungry, teary-eyed, tummy rumbling. Feed a treat.
  • 12:30–2 pmLunch
    “It’s lunch time… and I’m sooo hungry…”
  • 2–3:30 pmAfternoon slump
Full and drowsy. Heavy eyelids and little nods.
  • 4:30–5:30 pmSnack
“Snack time? My tummy is rumbling…”
  • 7:30–9 pmDinner
Hungry again. A treat makes it happy.
  • 9–10:30 pmCozy
A soft smile and a slow sway.
  • 10:30–11:45 pmBedtime
Yawns and nodding. “You should rest too.”

At meal times Mochi gets teary-eyed and its tummy rumbles. Drop a treat to feed it, and that meal counts as done for the day. Each mood line plays at most once a day, so it never nags.

Plays

Six ways to use Mochi

Short routines that fit into a real day. Each one takes a single click or key to start.

Deep work · 25 + 5 min

The focus sprint

  1. Press N or tap the timer in the right rail.
  2. Pick 15, 25 or 50 minutes and a 5 or 10 minute break.
  3. Tap the record player to choose a lofi track.
  4. Work until Mochi takes off its headphones.

Four sessions make a round, then you get a 15 minute long break.

Stress · about 1 min

The 4-7-8 reset

  1. Press B or tap Relax.
  2. Breathe in for 4 as Mochi grows.
  3. Hold for 7.
  4. Breathe out for 8 as Mochi softens.

There is also a slower SOS rhythm (4, 4, 6, then rest) for moments that feel like too much.

All day · every 30 to 90 min

The hydration habit

  1. Open Reminders and turn on Drink water.
  2. Choose how often: 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes.
  3. When Mochi sips, take a sip with it.
  4. Use Sip now any time you drink on your own.

Mochi counts your glasses for the day under So far.

Posture · 2 to 3 min

The stretch break

  1. Turn on Stretch in Reminders, or press Stretch now.
  2. Follow Mochi as it demos each move.
  3. Tap Next when you are done, or Skip.

Finish a whole break and Mochi does a happy flip.

Bad moment · 30 sec

The stress squish

  1. Drag Mochi up and fling it across the screen.
  2. Switch to the soft mallet and give a gentle bonk.
  3. Then switch to treats and make up with it.

Mochi gets visibly annoyed at the mallet, then forgives you for a snack.

Evening · open-ended

The cozy wind-down

  1. Open World and pick the Cozy room.
  2. Tap the lantern to dim the lights.
  3. Put on Late-night jazz or Lazy afternoon.
  4. Let Mochi drift off to sleep.

If you leave Mochi alone long enough, it naps. Poke to wake it.
